The hipsters didn't show up at the Zabcultural Party that was held last weekend of November. But why would they? The hipster business is flourishing! They gather every night down at Club Mass and Club Answer! Why would they drag their asses to an unknown place downtown Hongdae?
The Zabcultural Party visitors where mainly the same ol' punks you can spot around the park every weekend. Same ol' reliable punks looking at each other not quite sure about what to do during a two hour dj-set 4 o clock friday morning waiting to see The Swindlers perform for the fifth weekend in a row.
But seriously, do we need hipsters at all..? Aren't hipsters and punks incompatible?

who in your opinion are the hipsters? koreans or forigners? All of my friends hang around Hongdae and Gangnam basically as much ... I dont know who these "hipsters" are. really.

on my to-do-list is to write my definition of a hipster. but that to-do-list is pretty long..
However, it has nothing to do with nationality.
and it is nothing personal, i to have friends that would probably go as hipsters. what I am critical (yes I am critical) about is the "movement".
there are so many good articles about it, but adbusters Hipster: the end of western civilisation http://www.adbusters.org/magazine/79/hipster.html is one that covers a lot. and as the title suggests, it is pretty critical..
Paula, when it comes to where they hang out, I didn'nt mean you can't find hipsers in Hongdae. You can in deed! I meant the unknown place.
And oh yes I know Hospital hangs out at these clubs. I am astonished by the pictures. Hipsters are also very good looking ( at least the ladies), and they sure now how to party!
