A four hour, 5 USD bus ride from HCMC is Mui Ne. We had a great time in Mui Ne.

In Mui Ne I got some kicks. To SJ's delight I fell asleep like a child when we came home after a day of adventures. We were invited to a birthday party and night picnic at the beach with a Vietnamese family. We all gathered round a bonfire, drinking cold 333 (vietnamese bier) munching fried chicken claws. The day after we were invited to join another Vietnamese family on their picnic. How nice these Vietnamese people! This time, we were sipping Hanoi Vodka. Beach is supernice too. We stayed at Thai Hoa resort. Got a nice room for 25 USD/night, breakfast included, and a swimmingpool and almost a private beach.

SANYA

Sanya was overcrowded with Russian tourists. They are so many that it has reached the point where you can eat Russian food at the restaurants, the restaurants have Russian names, the menus are in Russian, the music is Russian, the locales speak to you in Russian (- what the HELL does that mean?! , I am not Russian!!), and oh, you can buy Russian souvenirs there to!

This is of course not merely the case with Russians in Sanya. It's the same with Swedes at Mallorca or Cyprus, or Swedes in Thailand.

I really can not seem to understand this. So I was thinking that maybe it is just a mistake, maybe the locales believes that this is what the tourists wants, and the tourists believes this is what they want. But the truth is that it is just an obsolete thing left from the early days of charter where the only purpose to go abroad was to exploit the warm climate and the sandy beaches.

SJ and I rented a motorbike and went outside Sanya and found this beautiful village, where every kid playing on the streets says "Hello", to you and wave their little hands. Beautiful!

Guilin

Pictures from where I lived in Guilin, China. It was only a few degrees outside, and without a heating system and a broken window in our room, it was not much warmer inside. But still, we spent some of our best days in Guilin January 2011.

Jag tror att jag har hamnat på ett av de vackraste ställena på jorden. Jag vill inte åka in till stan. Jag vill bara gå runt i Wangsimni. 

Jag landade i Seoul för snart en månad sen. Efter att ha hoppat på flyget kl 01.30 svensk tid i Doha, Qatar landade jag efter några timmar i Seoul där klockan då var 16.30. En man väntade på mig på flygplatsen med en skylt "Welcome Emmy Nilsson". Och en annan, stor svart man, Johnny Chambers Jr. från Texas, US väntade också på mig. Tillsammans steg vi in i vår pick-up-service-bil och drog till Seoul. Johnny Chambers Jr. från Texas frågade hur min koreanska var. Hans egna koreanska sög "big time", men hans japanska och kinesiska var ganska bra. Sen chitchattade han med pick-up mannen på koreanska hela vägen till skolan. 

Jaha, när vi kom fram till skolan hade jag somnat. Så exalterad var jag av att vara i Asien. Jag hann slänga in min väska i finlandsfärja-hytt-rummet, sen skulle alla SOCIALISERA, LÄRA KÄNNA VARANDRA, alltså gå ut och äta mat tillsammans. Jag var förskräckt första promenaden till Wangsimni,  VILKET JÄVLAR SMUTSIGT GHETTO JAG HAR HAMNAT I! Och hur jävla sjysst var det av fröken att sätta oss på en, sätta oss på golvet också för övrigt, och käka vad nu det heter igen, traditionell koreansk mat där man kokar maten på bordet, typ fem minuter efter att man har landat.

Men Wangsimni, nu får jag fan inte nog av dig!
